I have been making clay calacas this winter. the first ones will be coming out of glazing soon. I have painted them a lot but this is my first attempt at 3-D. I call them " los muertitos de san cristobal" . I feel very affectionate towards them, as if they are people I know, and can only think it is because they come out of my memories.
